Fun Adventures

We have had quite the adventure over the last week. On Friday June 10th the sale of our home was final. By Saturday we were on the road. We drove from Washington State to Idaho on day 1.

By Day two, Sunday, we made it to Utah. We grabbed something to eat, found a local park, then headed back to the Air B&B to have a good nights rest.

The following morning we headed out to This Is The Place Heritage Park in Utah.

In the schoolroom the teacher taught the kids how people who did not know how to write or read learned with an alphabet called the Deseret Alphabet.
All the kids got a chance to write their names using the Deseret Alphabet.

We checked out the bank
Then we went next door and the kids got a chance to stamp their own bits of leather

After that we headed over to see the Blacksmith

We saw so many things and rode the train around the park. We had such a wonderful time!

We continued our drive and by Tuesday we were at the Grand Canyon!!

After leaving the Grand Canyon we headed to Phoenix where we checked into our hotel and then headed out to find something to do.

Both sculptures were made completely out of Legos!!!

We had plans for visiting the aquarium and the Lego Discovery Center, but it was closed already, so we went to the movies instead. The kids LOVED the reclining movie chairs. This was the first time some of the kids had been to the movies and they were very impressed!

The next day was wonderful! We went to visit family in Arizona. My Aunt Pat and my cousins. I even got to meet my cousins daughter and grandbaby. The time flew by way too fast. We had such a wonderful visit but we had to be on the road. I was enjoying our visit so much I didn't think to stop and take pictures until we had already left :(

From there we journeyed to New Mexico  where we stayed at a lovely Air B&B. The host left little boxes in each bedroom with a couple little chocolates in each. Willow said it was like an Easter Egg hunt and had the best time finding them all. The next morning we woke up and went to Carlsbad Caverns.

Driving Through the Desert

Every place we went the kids each got a keychain for their backpack and sometimes an extra little souvenir.
After leaving New Mexico we headed to Texas and went to the Alamo.

After leaving Texas we headed to see Grandma and Grandpa in Louisiana.
Eating crawfish, crabs, and shrimp boil!

The kids had fun playing with the balloon with Grandma and running in the sprinkler.
After leaving Louisiana we headed to Arkansas where we stayed at the cutest Air B&B. The kids loved running around in their socks and sliding across the floor.

Today we head to an Air B&B in Missouri where we will stay while looking for land. We have several listings that we will be looking at over the next few days in hope of finding the property we have been dreaming of!
