Spring

 It is Spring! 

Nothing says spring like blooming flowers, budding trees, and baby animals! 

It is amazing how over the last couple weeks the trees have filled out with their leaves again. The white flowers of the dogwood trees are stunning. We have many scattered throughout our homestead. 

We have our first chicks on the homestead and are loving it. 

The kids are also loving the days getting warmer and being able to wear short sleeves and shorts. 

It just doesn't get much better than this... the view of the sunset on our homestead

We went to Silver Dollar City to celebrate my birthday and had a great time. We always start the day off by going to the church in Silver Dollar City. They do not do an actual service during the week but sing hymns and invite you to share your favorite hymn and then they will sing and invite everyone to sing along. 

Grandpa's Mansion in Silver Dollar City

Grandpa's Mansion is a fun house with mirrors and slanted floors and such. 

There are lots of hand holds because the floor is very slanted and you feel like you are going to fall over

Back to Silver Dollar City for Ellie's 22nd Birthday

We start every day off at Silver Dollar City at the church where they sing hymns, Gavyn loves standing up next to the singers and pretending like he is part of their group

She is still working on being brave on this ride. Rides are a bit scary for her but she is working hard on overcoming fears

These three went on this one next, it goes up really high and then drops, they loved it

Then it was time to take a rest from rides for a little bit and watch a performance

Rivertown Ramblers at Silver Dollar City

Singing in the church at Silver Dollar City - they invited all the children up to sing Jesus Loves Me. 

I could not have dreamed that our lives would be like this two years ago when we were all stuck inside and if you wanted to go outside you had to wear a mask back where we use to live.

It is beyond anything I could have dreamed. 

We love it here!
