Welcome 2022

We got our first snowfall Christmas evening!

We had a few friends over for Pizza and Games

They ended up playing Twister, Jenga, Pick up Sticks, and Headbands

The New Year has started off on a good foot. (the right of course!! - we have a silly tradition that we all stand on our right foot and pick our left foot off the floor so we can make sure the year starts off on the RIGHT foot! lol)

We have decided that the kids were watching way too much tv

(where we live, you are required to wear masks everywhere and some of our kids are unable to wear masks so we have been very limited about where we can go and what we can do and with it raining 6-9 months of the year and us being in the rainy season we got in the bad habit of watching too much tv )

so now there is no tv M-F except for our Abeka school Videos. It took a few days of  the kids being upset that there was no tv, but The kids are all engaged in looking at books and reading - without prompting!!

Going tv free has given us a lot of extra time. Time to make cookies, read more, and giving the kids more time for free play and have more quality family time. We got three new games for Christmas and the kids have been very excited about them.

Mark is still working on the house between working full time and running the kids to appointments while I stay here with all the rest of the crew so we can sell this house in the spring.

Now that this little one has recovered from her last surgery she is getting ready for another. This time it her tonsils! The doctor did not want to remove then while she was doing her other surgery because they felt like it would be too much at once so they decided to do them one after the other. Her next surgery is scheduled for late January.

She is becoming quite the cook and has been asking to help cook almost daily now. Tonight she wants to make spaghetti for the first time.

I don't understand ketchup on eggs but that's how she likes them

Before today the biggest puzzle she ever put together on her own was 300 pieces.
She decided to try a 500 piece puzzle!! She is a little puzzle master!
