We have been very busy trying to get our house ready to list. We have been doing updates and painting and just trying to spruce things up. We are hopeful the house will sell quickly as want to be moved by late spring/early summer.
I have been meaning to upload pictures but the cloud drive that stores all the pictures took a nose dive about two weeks ago and we have been doing our best to get more than 14 years worth of pictures downloaded onto the new cloud drive. Hopefully we will be able to post pictures again soon.
In January we all came down with covid. After a couple of days the kids were over it but Mark and I had it lingering for a couple weeks. We are all doing fine now and as good as new.
Willow had really bad sleep apnea due to her cleft lip and palate surgeries so she had surgery and they removed her tonsils and adenoids. She sure is one tough cookie. She recovered quickly and was eating normally after two days. She has been sleeping better, but still does a lot of snoring. We will find out
One thing we are looking forward to is the drive when we move. We hope to make a few stops along the way taking in sights and visiting with family and friends. Road trips, when you can take your time, are always fun.
We have ordered our curriculum for the next school year already. While we LOVE Abeka and the videos, the grade that they are currently doing with the workbooks and videos are getting more challenging and it is causing some frustration. We are currently on lesson 102 of 170 so we will finish this school term with Abeka however, as much as we love the videos and the Abeka program we have decided to go with a different program for next year. I know I will certainly miss the Abeka program and the teachers from the video. I have learned a lot by being able to watch the videos with the kids and get great teaching ideas for the kids. It is always wonderful to be able to watch how others teach and gain ideas from others. While we will greatly miss the videos we need to find content that best matches our kids abilities. I am so thankful for the time we have had learning with Abeka and know that we will continue to learn and grow with the new curriculum.
Praying you are all well!
