Mother's Day

For Mother's Day we had 19 showings for our house so we took an all day road trip and went up by Mt. Rainier. We stopped at a playground and let the kids play, then walked around on some trails. While we walking it started to hail so we took shelter under some trees and waited until it stopped. Once the hail stopped we continued our hike and then had a picnic lunch.

The kids played a bit longer and then we headed out to see some amazing statues someone welded using scrap metal at Recycled Spirits of Iron Sculpture Park by Dan Klennert. While enjoying the statues it started hailing and then raining so we rushed under cover to wait for it to die down again. Once the rain stopped we looked at the rest of the statues then headed out towards home.

When we got close to home we realized we needed to kill about an hour or two so we headed over to Battleground Lake State Park. We planned on having a picnic dinner, letting the kids play at the playground there, and then hiking on the trails. The weather had other plans. It started pouring down and the temperature dropped quickly. Thankfully we were at a covered picnic table when the rain started so we finished eating then headed back to the car.

All in all it was a pretty good day, (except for the rain, hail, and cold weather), but the kids had fun so that is what counts.
