Fun Times

In December we all fell ill with the flu. We prayed long and hard that we would be better before January came since we had already booked tickets to fly in our daughter and granddaughter and a reservation at Great Wolf Lodge. 

Thankfully everyone was well by Christmas and at the start of January we were blessed to be able to fly our daughter and granddaughter in for a mini vacation. They flew into Missouri and we went to Great Wolf Lodge together then we drove to our house for a sleepover before having to fly back the next day. 

Loved having a chance to spend time with our daughter and our precious granddaughter and can hardly wait to see them again!

Trying to get this many kids to look and smile at the same time isn't easy!

Then it was time to explore the hotel playing a game where you had a wand and could open the treasure chests or make things happen using your magic wand

After we got back to the house we went on a walk through our forest

The kids had fun finding the faces in the trees and trying to copy their expression

And find all the fairies in the trees

The kids had fun playing games, checkers, and tic tac toe together, with hot chocolate and pizza for dinner.  The following day it was a trip back to the airport to drop off  our daughter and granddaughter. Can hardly wait to see them again! 

Fun around the Homestead

Helping Daddy put together the Christmas present they got from Grandma and Grandpa

Sadly, the flu came back in full force on Jan 6th with our little guy having 12 hours of nonstop throwing up. The next day, it started going through the house and we have been taking turns getting the flu. 

Praying it ends soon so we can all get back to having fun!
